Ukrtransgaz says transit of Russian gas to EU grows 4% in Jan–Jul

KIEV, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- Russian natural gas transit to the E.U. through Ukraine grew 4% on the year to 53.2 billion cubic meters in January–July, Ukrtransgaz, operator of the country’s gas pipeline system, said in a statement on Friday.

Imports of natural gas by Ukraine grew 36% on the year to 7.6 billion cubic meters in the period, while domestic gas production went up 2% to 12.2 billion cubic meters, the company said.
